  1. William Wordsworth was born on 7th April, 1770, at Cockermouth in Cumberland, 
  2. England.
  3. He grew up in the beautiful Lake District that was later to provide inspiration 
  4. for much of his poetry and philosophy.
  5. His best known poem is probably "I Wandered Lonely As A Cloud:"
  6. I wandered lonely as a cloud
  7. That floats on high o'er vales and hills
  8. When all at once I saw a crowd
  9. A host, of golden daffodils
  10. Beside the lake, beneath the trees
  11. Fluttering and dancing in the breeze
  12. On 23rd April, 1850, at the age of 80, William died.
